Allspice Berry Essential Oil

(Pimenta dioica)

Berries - Steam Distilled

Aromatherapeutic Uses:

We chose the much more expensive berry derived essential oil for two reasons. It is a little safer due to a lower eugenol content when compared to the leaf derived essential oil. Allspice berry essential oil also smells much nicer than the leaf derived oil. Most companies sell the Allspice Leaf Essential Oil and just refer to it as Allspice Essential Oil.  It should still be used diluted in the lower range of 1% in a carrier oil if to be used on the skin.

Used in tiny amounts..... in a massage oil for chest infections, for severe muscle spasm to restore mobility quickly,  Source: Davis, P. London School of Aromatherapy notes, 1983.

Respiratory System: Congested coughs & bronchitis
Digestive System: Cramp, flatulence, indigestion and nausea

Allspice essential oil can be described as an aromatic combination of spice oils that arouses the freedom of the outdoors. Allspice essential oil is a fragrant delight.

Allspice essential oil has a complex aroma that distributes the essence of cloves, cinnamon, pepper and nutmeg.

Although it may be of no surprise that Allspice will blend well with other warm and spicy oils, it also partners well with Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Spearmint.
