The Organic
Essential Oils Story
When we first introduced our Organic Essential Oils range, it wasn’t something we rushed into. It came after years of sourcing, sampling, and comparing certified organic oils from around the world, searching for a collection that truly lived up to the quality and care we believe in at Ahimsa.
Each of these oils are sourced from certified organic farms, where the plants are grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilisers. They’re extracted using traditional methods, steam distilled or cold pressed, and selected for their purity, potency, and aromatic beauty.
While many of our Pure & Natural oils are also organically grown, not all of them come from suppliers with formal certification. For small scale farms, the process of becoming certified can be costly and complex. So this range was created for those who want that added layer of sourcing transparency, knowing that every oil in this collection comes from a certified organic supplier.
Every time we receive a new batch, we cross check the aroma, colour, and consistency to ensure it still meets the high standards we originally selected it for. It’s this continued attention to detail, that helps us make sure what you’re receiving is just as good as the very first bottle we fell in love with.
You might also notice we don’t use the Australian Certified Organic logo on these bottles, or on our website. That’s because our oils are sourced globally, and each country has its own governing certification body. While we don’t share individual certificates, that’s often because the documents we receive are watermarked with supplier details and not intended for redistribution. To make them publicly shareable, we would need to reissue or format them ourselves - something that, as a small business, isn’t viable at this stage. That said, it’s absolutely something we hope to offer as we continue to grow.
This range is for those who value not just purity, but process, and want to use oils they can feel good about, from start to finish of its journey into your hands!
