Cold pressed from the seeds of Oenothera biennis, our Organic Virgin Evening Primrose Oil is a delicate, nutrient rich oil celebrated for its healing, anti-inflammatory, and hormone supportive properties. Lightweight and easily absorbed, it’s particularly suitable for sensitive skin, dry hair, eczema, and female wellness applications.
Naturally rich in vitamin E, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, Evening Primrose Oil penetrates deeply and works to reduce redness, balance the skin barrier, and soothe hormonal or inflammatory imbalances. Traditionally used in Europe for medicinal purposes, it is also a licensed treatment for breast pain in the UK and is known to help relieve PMS, hot flashes, and menstrual discomfort.
Due to its potency, it is typically used in small dilutions, 10% to 20% blended with other carrier oils is recommended for most topical applications.
