Wintergreen Essential Oil, steam distilled from the leaves of Gaultheria procumbens, is one of nature’s most recognisable and refreshing aromas. Containing over 95% methyl salicylate, it is chemically similar to natural aspirin, making it a powerful oil for soothing muscular tension and supporting joint comfort when used appropriately diluted.

Traditionally, the leaves of wintergreen were used by Native American tribes as a tonic for aches, fatigue, and respiratory discomfort. In modern aromatherapy, Wintergreen is valued for its stimulating and uplifting qualities, helping restore mental clarity and motivation while easing feelings of heaviness or stagnation. Its crisp, minty sweet scent brings an immediate sense of refreshment, reminiscent of a brisk forest breeze.

While primarily used in topical blends for massage or sports recovery, Wintergreen also pairs beautifully with warm and floral oils to create balanced aromatic profiles that are both energising and deeply comforting. Due to its potency, it should always be used in very low concentrations and never ingested.

Shelf Life
Best used within 3 - 4 years. Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat. Refrigerate after opening to preserve freshness and maintain safety.
