Whether you’re new to essential oils or a seasoned enthusiast, Organic Niaouli essential oil offers incredible benefits for both your health and well-being so let’s take a look at this essential oil and its history.

A Brief History of Niaouli Essential Oil

Niaouli (Melaleuca viridiflora) is a member of the Melaleuca genus, closely related to the famous Tea Tree. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine across the coastal regions of Australia, New Guinea, Madagascar and parts of Southeast Asia. The indigenous peoples of these areas have long valued the leaves of the Niaouli tree for their potent antimicrobial properties, making it an important part of their natural healing practices.

The Niaouli tree, has been given other nicknames in the past including  paperbark and paperbark tea tree and is a tall and sturdy evergreen tree and its leaves are steam distilled for their powerful essential oil. In fact, Niaouli oil is often considered a milder alternative to Tea Tree oil, with similar therapeutic benefits but a softer, fresher aroma.  It is a stimulating essential oil because of the high eucalyptol content within its chemical composition.
