Why We Bottle Every Oil To Order
One of the quiet things we’ve done since the very beginning, and still do today, is bottle all of our essential oils fresh to order. We keep only small quantities of bulk oil on hand, and pour each bottle just before it leaves our doors. It’s slower, yes. But it’s one of the most important ways we protect the quality and integrity of each oil.
Essential oils are naturally volatile and sensitive to oxidation. Once exposed to air and light, their aroma and therapeutic properties can begin to degrade. That’s why we store our oils carefully in our temperature controlled warehouse, and why we avoid the large scale, pre bottled approach that many commercial brands rely on.
When oils are bottled months in advance and stored under lights or inconsistent conditions, it can dull their vibrancy over time.
By bottling fresh, we:
- Limit exposure to air and light
- Preserve the delicate aromatic compounds that make each oil so effective
- Ensure every bottle that leaves us is as vibrant, alive, and therapeutic as possible
You might not notice the difference on a shelf, but you’ll feel it when you use it.
