Pure & Natural vs Genuine
Let’s Break It Down
We often get asked about the difference between our 100% Pure & Natural essential oils and our Genuine range, especially since the price point between them is a little different. And it’s a great question, because while they might seem similar at first glance, there’s a bit more to it once you dig in.
Let’s start with what 100% pure and natural actually means. It’s a phrase that gets used a lot, but for us, it’s not just something to put on a label. It means the oil has been extracted straight from the plant, nothing added, nothing removed. No synthetic fillers, no dilution, no chemical tweaking. Just the oil in its natural state, with all of its beautiful aromatic compounds and therapeutic properties intact. And when we talk about purity, it’s not only about what’s in the bottle, it’s also about the kind of detail and traceability that allows these oils to be used in professional settings.
Our Pure & Natural range is fully traceable, each oil comes from a single, identifiable batch, which includes things like the specific plant part used, how it was extracted, and where it was grown. This type of information is essential for aromatherapists, perfumers, and formulators who need consistency, specific therapeutic properties, or regional variations in their work.
So, What About Our Genuine Essential Oils?
Our Genuine Essential Oils are also 100% pure, with no synthetics, no fillers, and no shortcuts. The difference is simply in how they’re sourced and blended.
These oils aren’t from one single batch or location. Instead, they’re often a blend of multiple batches, sometimes from different harvests or regions, and therefore can’t be traced in the same way our Pure & Natural oils can.
Besides this, our genuine range is still of exceptional quality! We offer this range knowing that not everyone requires that extra level of detail. These oils are great for DIY projects, candles, soaps, or just everyday diffusing, where you want a pure, beautiful oil, but don’t necessarily need all the finer details. And for this reason, they’re often a little more affordable, which makes them a really accessible option for regular use.
We offer both ranges because we know different people use essential oils in different ways, and we believe in making beautiful, high quality oils accessible, without compromising on integrity.
If you ever have questions about which one might suit you best, we are always happy to help!
